Gender Balance in Elected Bodies
in relation to elections for membership of Assembly bodies by the Assembly and its Standing Committee, to determine that women shall comprise at least 40% of the membership of each body and men shall comprise at least 40% of the membership of each body, unless:
- the mandate of a particular body states otherwise;
- the Assembly specifically makes a different determination in respect of any particular body;
Composition of the Standing Committee
to determine that the elected membership of the Standing Committee shall include:
- at least two persons 25 years or under;
- no fewer than eight persons of each gender;
- at least two persons recognised by the Assembly Committee on Ethnic Diversity as being among the migrant-ethnic members of the Assembly, at least one of whom shall be a layperson.
